Welcome to Φολέγανδρο

Fo-lay-gan-dros. Pronouncing the name of the island out loud is already an invitation to travel. A rhythm, a sound. An island that takes its name from “Polyandros”, “many men”.

Still preserved from the excesses of summer tourism, Folegandros has to be earned.
Vertical, arid, stretched out in length, the island springs from the Aegean Sea in all its bare splendor, like the spine of a dragon whose cliff-thorns form as many breathtaking viewpoints.

We owed you nothing less than the most spectacular, the most sublime of the Cyclades islands to welcome you.

NOT TO MISS

THE CHORA

Welcome to Chora. Most activities of the wedding celebrations will take place here, so we highly recommend you stay near by.
Chora is the main village, the heart of the island with its small squares shaded by roofs formed by intertwined bougainvillea. Chora wakes up at sunset, to the rhythm of the return-from-the-beach, and to the sound of the plucked strings of the laoutos and the blue bell towers.

ANO MERIA

Less a village than a string of scattered houses.
Transport will be necessary to reach Ano Meria and its restaurants, but there is no shortage of spectacular views!

In Folegandros, one of the island's specialties is matsata, a delicious local pasta.

As in all the Cyclades, local cheese is an alternative to the national Feta.

Souroto, a creamy white cheese, is the local cheese of the island. Try it, it is delicious!
